I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some pretty wonderful people online over the years. This recipe for Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brownies came from one of those people. Beverly and I were both members of an online baking/cooking forum that Duncan Hines had years ago. We’ve talked on the phone and at some point would like to actually arrange to meet each other.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brownie Ingredients:
- 1 stick butter
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 13/4 cups white sugar
- 1 1/2 Teaspoons vanilla
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips (milk chocolate or semi sweet)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips for sprinkling over the batter
Kitchen Supplies That Are Needed for Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brownies
Beverly has made these easy and delicious brownies for her family and grand babies for years. And now you can too. The recipe isn’t made in a bowl. The measured out ingredients are put into a medium size sauce pan big enough to hold all the ingredients. You are also going to be stirring the ingredients into the saucepan, so there’s no need for an electric mixer.
As I’ve said, the recipe comes together quickly so measure out the ingredients and have them ready. There’ nothing worse than having all the ingredients for a recipe on your counter along with the measuring spoons and cups and in the midst of measuring out the ingredients as you go and adding them to the bowl, getting interrupted by a phone call or a visit. Then when you get back to the recipe your asking yourself…did I already add the baking powder to the bowl?
Honey that’s a boo boo you don’t want to make. Measure the ingredients out for this recipe and all recipes you make ahead of starting the recipe.
Making the peanut butter chocolate chip brownies recipe
The recipe starts by putting the butter into the sauce pan and cooking just long enough for it to melt. After you melt the butter, remove the pan from the stove and add the peanut butter in with the butter and stir until it melts as well.
Stir the sugar and vanilla into the pan, then add the beaten eggs and whisk or stir until they combine with the ingredients in the pan.
Add the flour, salt and baking soda to the pan and stir until they are incorporated into the batter. Add the 2 cups chocolate chips to the pan and stir just until they are mixed through the batter. Spread the batter into a greased 13×9 inch pan and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 chocolate chips over the batter.
Place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes or until browned on top. Seriously that’s it, that’s all it takes to make these delicious and easy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brownies. I also sprinkled chocolate chips over top of the brownies after they came out of the oven and cooled slightly, you don’t have to but it made a nice garnish for the bars.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brownies, this one’s easy and delicious. Keep the recipe close, you’ll be making it a lot, Enjoy!
