Spice Rub Pork Chops have a wonderful depth of flavor. The Balsamic Vinegar sautéed onions take this delicious pork chop rub recipe over the top.
You are going to be delighted and surprised with this Spice Rub Pork Chop recipe. Cumin, Allspice and Paprika are used to make the rub. The warm spices combined give the chops a wonderful depth of flavor. The sauteed onions with Balsamic Vinegar are served on top of the pork chops to make this one delicious easy dinner and we’re going to make it together.
Spice Rub Pork Chops Ingredients:
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin
- 1/2 Teaspoon Allspice
- 1/8 Teaspoon Paprika
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 Medium Onion, sliced thin
- 2 Teaspoons Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon oil
The recipe as written makes enough rub for 2 pork chops. Double the recipe to make 4 chops and triple the recipe to make 6 pork chops.
It doesn’t matter what cut of pork chop you use for the rub, loin chops, boneless chops or shoulder chops are all fine. Place the Cumin, Allspice, Paprika and salt and pepper in a small bowl and stir them all together. Rub both sides of the pork chops with the spice rub. Heat a frying pan to medium heat, place the oil in the pan and fry the pork chops until they are just done. Remove the pork chops from the pan to a plate and cover them with foil to keep them warm. Don’t wash the pan you fried the pork chops in there’s lots of flavor in there. Your going to use it to saute the onions.
Place the onions in the same pan you fried the pork chops in. Saute the onions until they are golden brown and softened. Stir in the Balsamic Vinegar and any juices from the pork chops that accumulated on the plate into the pan. Stir everything to combine. Serve the onions with the pork chops. I used the rub on pork chops but there isn’t any reason why you couldn’t use it on boneless chicken breasts as well or steak. If you love the flavors, use it and use it often to make amazing entrees for grilling season. And if it’s not grilling season, do what I do and use a grilling pan on top of the stove.
My son was absolutely bowled over by the flavours of the Spice Rub Pork Chops and Balsamic onions and he’s not impressed easily when it comes to pork. I get a little intimidated cooking for him sometimes because he’s as good a cook on the grill or using a smoker to cook meats as it gets. He’s spent years smoking pork butts for family and friends in Pennsylvania and making his own rubs. When he did everything but lick the plate clean, I knew it was a keeper! Spice Rub Pork Chops, it’s what’s for dinner and it’s delicious!
