Lemon Garlic Hummus
Still being new to the hummus making world I’ve come to realize that garlic is pretty much a staple when making it. It’s a huge flavor booster to an otherwise flavorless garbanzo bean or chickpea. What I also discovered today while making this recipe is that lemon juice gives hummus a wonderful bright flavor that is absolutely amazing. This may be common knowledge to veteran hummus makers, but for me ,being a newbie, it was a light bulb moment.
While the garlic in the recipe lent it’s flavor, the lemon was the star of the show. When the hummus hits your taste buds, the combination of the two make for a very refreshing flavor. A flavor that would make it very easy to add fresh herbs to, to build layers of deliciousness. This very easy hummus could develop into other recipes just by adding a few simple spices or garden fresh ingredients . I love the versatility and the options this recipe has, but most of all I love the fresh, clean flavor the lemon brings to the table. This will be made and enjoyed often, it’s too good not to. Lemon Garlic Hummus, this one’s a keeper, Enjoy!
