I absolutely love smoothies. They’re so easy to make and so good for you! My favorite smoothie is blueberry. You can substitute any fruit you want or combine fruits with this simple delicious recipe.
I always use frozen berries to make the smoothie nice and thick, just the way I like them. You can certainly use low fat milk and yogurt to make them healthier. If the smoothie isn’t quite as sweet as you’d like , add pieces of a very ripe banana to sweeten it up or a little sugar.
Since blueberry and lemon are one of my most favorite flavors I’m, going to make the next smoothie with lemon yogurt and blueberries. As far as smoothies go the sky’s the limit so have at it Kids , you’ll be glad you did! Enjoy!
- 1 cup frozen fruit
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup yogurt I use vanilla yogurt
- Sweeten to your liking by adding pieces of ripe banana or sugar if using plain yogurt)
- Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and mix till incorporated.

Good morning Jean! Oh yes this is a favorite of mine! The blueberry flavor is wonderful!
Another delicious smoothie! I used frozen mixed berries and sweetened with some honey. This is the review I posted at Just A Pinch.
I’ve made this delicious smoothie a few times since last year. The first time I made as written, except the yogurt, I used plain Greek thick yogurt. Then I thought I might tweak it but no need to…it’s just right the way it is. So whenever I feel like a healthy smoothie, this is it:) Thanks for posting!
Thank you Maria!
Can I use blueberry syrup instead of frozen blueberries???
I don’t think it would be a problem to use the blueberry syrup. Just remember that the syrup has sugar in it so maybe you should use regular yogurt instead of the vanilla I used that already has sugar in it. Just add the syrup a bit at a time to make sure it’s not too sweet for you.
The blue berry smoothie was great..I used a Blueberry yogurt as well as the berries..delicious.
