Cool, creamy and delicious desserts are a welcome treat anytime of the year but especially during the hot Summer months. Lemon Lime Daiquiri Dessert is a make ahead dessert that’s kept in the freezer until your ready to serve it. I love versatility in desserts especially when they’re as easy as this one. Changing the flavor of this frozen treat is as easy as changing the flavor of the sherbet. Change the flavor of the sherbet to any of the following flavors to make it different every time you make it.
- Raspberry
- Orange
- Lemon
- Pineapple
- Rainbow
Lemon Lime Daiquiri Dessert Ingredients:
- One – 8 ounce tub cream cheese spread (don’t use a block of cream cheese, use the spread in a tub)
- One – 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups lime sherbet, softened
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- One – 8 ounce tub Cool Whip , thawed
We start the recipe by placing the softened lime sherbet into a foil lined 9×5 inch loaf pan. Freeze the sherbet for about 10 minutes while we make the second layer of the dessert.
To make the second layer of the dessert whisk the cream cheese spread ( not a block of cream cheese but the spread) in a large bowl until it’s creamy. Gradually whisk in the sweetened condensed milk , then whisk in the lemon juice until it’s blended. Stir the Cool Whip into the mixture until there are no lumps.
Spread the Cool Whip mixture over top of the lime sherbet in the 9×5 inch loaf pan. Freeze the pan for 3 hours. When you’re ready to serve this cool creamy treat unmold the dessert onto a serving platter and cut it into slices. Ingredients
- 2 cups lime sherbet, softened
- 1 eight ounce tub cream cheese spread
- 1 fourteen ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 eight ounce container Cool Whip Topping, thawed
Instructions
- Line a 9x5 inch loaf pan with foil. Spoon the two cups of softened lime sherbet into the loaf pan. Spread the sherbet out evenly in the pan and freeze the pan for 10 minutes.
- Whisk the cream cheese spread in a large bowl until creamy. Gradually whisk in the sweetened condensed milk then add the lemon juice and whisk until blended. Stir in the thawed Cool Whip until there are no lumps. Spread the mixture over the sherbet layer in the pan. Freeze for 3 hours. Right before serving, remove the pan from the freezer. Unmold the dessert onto a serving plate and slice to serve.
