Grape Salad
I had never even heard of Grape Salad until my cousin Judy and I were discussing recipes, she highly recommended it and gave me the recipe. It took me awhile Judy but I finally got it made!
I was thinking about the holiday coming up and wanted to make something light and refreshing to bring to our family gathering. I wanted it to be easy as well, something you could make and forget about till you needed it. This was perfect!
I halved the recipe for just myself to try first before I made it for family. I made one change to accommodate my son. After I mixed the ingredients together for the “dressing” that would be mixed with the grapes I decided to forego putting the brown sugar and pecans on top of the grape salad as the recipe called for. I liked the dressing and the sweetness of it mixed with the grapes just the way it was. I know my son…with the brown sugar on top, it would not have been something he would have enjoyed. I put the pecans in with the grapes and the dressing. The brown sugar on top was the only thing I omitted.
We both LOVED IT! The recipe in the recipe card reflects the whole recipe as my cousin gave it to me, tweek it to your liking.
When you taste this you get the cool juicy grapes mixed with a slight cream cheese-y dressing and the crunch from the pecans. It was delicious! The nice thing about this recipe is you can reduce the amount of sugar in the dressing if you like so you can put the brown sugar and pecans on top. This would be an excellent summer fruit salad ! Thank you Judy for introducing me to Creamy Delicious Grape Salad, we love it! Enjoy!

Your so welcome Mary!! Thank you for stopping by!
Just tried this about a month ago and have made it about three times since to take it to different occasions. It is great! I felt the same way about the brown sugar but I cut back on granulated sugar and topped with a little brown sugar and the pecans. It gives it a little different taste. I like it. The brown sugar actually melts. Love it.
Thank you so much Melinda for coming back to tell me you made it! It’s a keeper for sure!
Sounds delicious, will have to try it.
Anonymous,it was very good, if you try it, please come back and tell me how you like it!
It’s is a favorite with my kids and at when I take it to get togethers. I don’t add the pecans (just a preference) but I like to add can pineapple chunks and apple slices in it too. My favorite is pineapple chunks 🙂
This is a must try recipe for sure. Thank you for sharing!!
I have had this recipe for years and I make it a lot. I leave off the brown sugar. I do not think the recipe needs it. I mix pecans, walnuts and almonds for the topping.
Looks heavenly good!!! I almost thought it was a chicken salad recipe at first, but just grapes…fabulous!!!
