Snickerdoodle Cream Cheese Apple Pie
Snickerdoodle Cream Cheese Apple Pie is to die for! It takes so many fun combinations and makes this a great dessert that gets everyone at the party talking about it!
This snickerdoodle apple pie is made with a snickerdoodle cookie crust. A layer of cream cheese graces the center. I’ve had my taste of cream cheese apple pies, but mixing this with the snickerdoodle is so much fun!
In the center of the snickerdoodle apple pie, the cream cheese is with the chopped apple pie filling. The crumb topping is made with…yes Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough!
This pie is so unbelievably good, I couldn’t keep my hands off it! Which is a great thing, unless you are having friends or family over and have to share. Seriously though, we have all had so many types of pie, it is fun to do this extra special one every once in a while.
The cinnamon in the cookie dough is the perfect accompaniment to the apples, it’s not over powering, it fits like a glove. The little crisp you get from the crust and the crumb topping is a nice contrast to the cream cheese layer and soft apple pie filling. What an easy, delicious way to make Apple Pie! If you can keep your hands off of it, you’re a better person than I am, Enjoy!

- 1/2 Teaspoon cinnamon

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 inch glass pie plate.Place the pouch of cookie mix into a large bowl. Add the 1/2 cup butter, work with a pastry blender until you have crumbs. Beat the cream cheese in a medium bowl until smooth, add the sugar and flour. Mix until well incorporated. Add vanilla and egg, beat until the batter is smooth.Place the apple pie filling into a small bowl, add the 1/2 Teaspoon cinnamon, stir to combine.Spread the creamed cheese mixture into the bottom of the cookie crust. Spoon the chopped up canned apples over the cream cheese layer. Try to get more of the apple and less of the thickened filling onto the top of the cream cheese. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the apples evenly. Bake about 35 minutes or until top is golden brown. Let cool completely, refrigerate the pie at least 3 hours before serving.

Yes I was going to do the packages cookie dough for the topping. Just bought everything and I’m going to attempt to make it 🙂 thanks for responding so quickly! Very helpful!
Yes you can absolutely make it tonight, it will be perfect for tomorrow!
I have had an apple pie competition for 7 years running and this one won the whole thing last year! It was such a hit and so easy to make! Thank you:)
WOW Lindsey FANTASTIC!!! Thank you for taking the time to come back and comment, you just made my day!
I am pretty sure my family would flip over this cheese pie. They love apple so this is the perfect combo!
A combo of my two favorite desserts – apple pie and snickerdoodles! This is seriously heaven!!
Cant wait to try this for my Family. It looks so delicious and tempting too.
Thank you Veena!
This recipe is fantastic, and perhaps one that my baking challenged self could actually accomplish -successfully! I’m looking forward to giving this a whirl! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Krista!
I love the snickerdoodle twist on this apple pie! Such a great idea and it looks delicious.
Just made this with a homemade snickerdoodle recipe. But I stead of reserving some I cooked the cookie dough in a pie plate. When done baking I scooped some off the top (for my crumble) and just followed the other directions. Love this! I’m not a fan of premade cookie dough. Thank you thank you!
Thank you Taylor!
This looks delicious!
Can I make this the night before and serve it the next day?
Thanks!!!
Absolutely Ruchi. YOu’ll love this one!
I was thinking to make it the night before as well! Should it be served warm or cold?
It should be served room temperature or cold. Let me know what you think!
I made this for Christmas dinner and it was a hit! So much so that my teen son asked for it for his birthday in place of cake. The only thing challenging is telling when its done. It doesnt look as golden brown as I thought. Do you have other ideas for telling when it is perfectly done. Ive winged that so far but for future tries any advice would help ease my mind.
Thank you Heidi.
This was delicious! The balance of apple pie filling and cheesecake filling was perfect. I was trying to use up apples, so I made my own filling, and it worked really well. I made it for a group dinner, which just so happened to fall on the same day as a pie contest at my husband’s work. He said this pie would have won for sure. Thanks for the recipe!
Wonderful Stephanie, thanks for taking the time to come back and comment!
Wonderful Stephanie!! Next year make the pie and enter it in the contest, I’d love to see you get first prize for it!
I love this recipe.. it’s a hit everytime I make it..everyone loves the flavors.. the consistent downside is the crust.. it doesn’t want to come out of the dish. I noticed the in the video the pie plate didn’t appear to be greased yet the recipe calls out greasing the pie plate prior to pressing the dough. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I follow the recipe and get the same results. Do I really even need to grease pie plate? Or could it be my technique with pastry blender? Butter too soft? Thanks for your help!
I have to ask if you baked the crust for 10 minutes before adding the filling? THat’s the only thing I can think of Christina.
Yes…10 minutes.. no more, no less.
Made this for Thanksgiving dinner and it was definitely a hit. I agree with Heidi’s son I’ll take this for my birthday instead of cake 👌 its addicting. My husband and I were just hoping there would be some left overs!
where do I get Snickerdoodle mix?-what is a pastry blender?
Hi Dan! here is a picture of a pastry blender, you can find them anywhere.https://www.amazon.com/Last-Confection-Pastry-Blender-Cutter/dp/B07DM9DKDB/ref=asc_df_B07DM9DKDB/?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=&hvpos=&hvnetw=o&hvrand=&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584345016446218&psc=1
You can find the snickerdoodle cookie mix in the grocery store. It will be in a plastic pouch. I think I used Betty Crocker. Let me know how it goes for you!
Just finished making this and I’m disappointed that the bottom of the crust is burned. The top is also not golden brown as the recipe states it should be but I can’t bake this any longer due to the bottom crust. Maybe not baking the crust initially for 10 minutes would help prevent this.
Do you add the cinnamon sugar packet to the mix or just not use it at all?
I used the packet Linda.
I did use it Linda, you don’t have to if you don’t think you want it in the crust though.
I’m not crazy about apple pie filling. How about if I use cherry pie filling?
Is the apple pie filling from one can of apple pie filling? Thank you for the recipe!
Made this once and now all of my friends have been asking for it!! I’ve cheated a few times and used a packaged shortbread crust and sprinkled it with cinnamon which works just fine. This pie is delicious
NICE Connie! The shortbread crust with cinnamon sounds wonderful! Thank you for coming back with your change to the recipe, it’s helpful for someone else wanting to try it that way. I appreciate you!
