Snickerdoodle Cream Cheese Apple Pie
Snickerdoodle Cream Cheese Apple Pie is to die for! It takes so many fun combinations and makes this a great dessert that gets everyone at the party talking about it!
This snickerdoodle apple pie is made with a snickerdoodle cookie crust. A layer of cream cheese graces the center. I’ve had my taste of cream cheese apple pies, but mixing this with the snickerdoodle is so much fun!
In the center of the snickerdoodle apple pie, the cream cheese is with the chopped apple pie filling. The crumb topping is made with…yes Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough!
This pie is so unbelievably good, I couldn’t keep my hands off it! Which is a great thing, unless you are having friends or family over and have to share. Seriously though, we have all had so many types of pie, it is fun to do this extra special one every once in a while.
The cinnamon in the cookie dough is the perfect accompaniment to the apples, it’s not over powering, it fits like a glove. The little crisp you get from the crust and the crumb topping is a nice contrast to the cream cheese layer and soft apple pie filling. What an easy, delicious way to make Apple Pie! If you can keep your hands off of it, you’re a better person than I am, Enjoy!

Hi, I’m a little confused about the apple pie filling for your Snickerdoodle Cream Cheese Apple Pie recipe. You have 1/14 cups apple pie filling. What does that mean? thanks, Jude
Oh for crying out loud I never saw that error in the recipe card Jude! I fixed it, it’s suppose to be 1 1/4 cups of apple pie filling. THANK YOU for pointing that out to me!
Hi could u hellp me how much cream cheese in grams ..i am confused
Hi Yasmeen! Here is a conversion chart for you to look at. You need 8 oz of cream cheese for the recipe…http://www.sweet2eatbaking.com/measurements/cream-cheese/
Is there anything else I could use, other then a pastry blender?
Lindsey yes there is. Your fingers! Rub the butter and cookie mix together by rubbing them in between your 2 fingers and thumb. it’ll probably be a lot easier than using a pastry blender. Get both your hands in the bowl and just work the butter in with your fingers.
We don’t have snickerdoodle cookie mix where I am from, can I just use snickerdoodle cookie mix made from scratch?
Well, you could try it Liz, you could also try making it with a sugar cookie mix instead.
I couldn’t find Snickerdoodle Cookie Mix either so I bought a sugar cookie mix to modify it. Then I found Salted Caramel Cookie Mix so figured why not…yummy! Thanks for the recipe. 🙂
Ohhhhh Salted Caramel Cookie Mix! I’m going to have to look for that! Thank you Kim!
OOPS! Forget to rate it…
Thank you Kim!
You have the cookie mix as 1.1lb 1.5 oz. The cookie mix package,is 17.5 oz. Which is correct? Thanks
Donna it’s one – 1 pound 1.5 oz package. I changed the number 1 (as in the quantity of packages) so it’s not so confusing. One package of cookie mix that is 1 pound 1.5 oz.
I’ve made this pie twice now and it has turned out perfectly both times. Super easy and a hit with friends and family!
Wonderful Gretchen! Thank you for coming back to tell me!
Is there a way to freeze or refrigerate this if I am not wanting to bake it until the next day?
I would say that you could make and bake the crust, ahead of time. But I don’t know how well the rest of the cookie dough that goes on top would fare the next day Shannon.
Do you add the cinnamon sugar mixture that comes in the cookie pouch with the butter and cookie mixture?
Yes Cary you do.
Hi Pam, you put the cinnamon packet into the cookie mix.
Pam you put it in with the cookie mix.
All purpose flour Amanda.
Used sugar cookie dough, added ground cinnamon to bottom crust. Added chooped walnuts to topping. Needed to be baked about 40 minutes. Hope it’s good! Looks and smells amazing.
I do too Holly! Let me know how it goes!
It says to use a glass pie plate. Will metal work, too?
Yes Lydia a metal pie plate will work. Hope you enjoy it!
A metal plate will work just fine Lydia, Happy Thanksgiving!
Darn! I wish it would have stated to add the cinnamon and sugar mix into the crust. I didnt do that! It still looks great but i hope it tastes good!
I’m sure it will Janelle, I actually changed the wording in the recipe to state adding the cinnamon sugar to the dough.
I LOVE the flavors of this pie! I cooked up my own tart apples in lime juice, and the tart apple/sweet cream cheese combination (plus sweet cookie) was delicious! The bottom crust stuck hard to the bottom for some reason even though I greased it, but I am definitely trying this one again!
Oh I bet it was delicious with your homemade filling Vanessa!
I MADE THIS RECIPE FOR THANKSGIVING LAST WEEK AND HOLY COW WHAT A HIT! IT DISAPPEARED BEFORE I KNEW IT, SO SIMPLE, SO TASTY!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Thank you Ashley!!
Hi!! Does this recipe call for salted or unsalted butter?
Hi Alyssa, I always use salted butter when I bake.
How about if you want to make it from scratch what could you use instead of the pre made mix
You could make it with a snickerdoodle cookie dough you make from scratch Jacob. But I’ve never done that so if you do let me know how it went for you.
I am assuming it is to be served cold?
Hi Morgan yes, serve the pie cold, Happy Holidays!
Weird question, would it taste bad if I used frozen pie crust? I was trying to find something where I could use the pie crust I already have. I’m sure yours would taste better per the recipe but just curious if you think it would be ok?
No Kristine I don’t think it would taste bad. Are you still going to use the packaged cookie dough for the topping? You could make your own streusel for the top if you weren’t.
