Combine the first 8 ingredients in a large bowl, mixing well. Combine the evaporated milk and heavy cream in a small saucepan. Heat the milks to the scalding point. Add the scalded milks to the other ingredients, mixing well.Pour the mixture equally into two unbaked pie shells. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for one hour. The pies are done when a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean. Top with whipped cream if desired.
