Toffee Walnut Blondies are little bites of bliss that are incredible easy to make. Everything comes together in a saucepan, that’s it! No mixer required. The recipe makes an 8×8 inch baking pan of delicious chewy blondies. The nice thing about making a small batch is that you can double it to make a bigger batch when the need arises.
You’ll notice the ingredient list doesn’t have baking soda or baking powder. It’s not a typo, the bars don’t need it. The walnuts inside the bar along with the chocolate covered toffee bits on top make these bars incredible moreish! Enjoy!

Toffee Walnut Blondies
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
2 Teaspoons vanilla
1 cup flour
1/4 Teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup chocolate covered toffee bits
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch square baking pan.
Melt the butter in a medium sauce pan, add the brown sugar and mix well. Cool the mixture for 10 minutes. ( The mixture has to cool down before you add the egg.) When it has cooled down add the egg and vanilla. Add the flour and salt to the saucepan, mix until combined. Stir in the walnuts. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan , sprinkle the toffee bits over top. Bake 22-27 minutes or until set. Do not over bake. Cool completely. Cut into squares, serve.
