Creamy Garlic Skillet Shrimp
A creamy delicious skillet dinner made with shrimp that's easy to make for busy weeknight meals.
- 12 ounces fettucine
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- one 12 ounce jar roasted red peppers
- 1 Teaspoon paprika
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled, deveined and tails removed
- 1 1/2 cups Parmesan, grated
- 1 Tablespoon parsley, chopped
Make The Pasta
Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.Drain the jar of roasted red peppers and slice them into 1/2 inch thick strips. Set aside.Melt the 3 Tablespoons butter in a large saute pan over medium heat. Add the garlic, red peppers and paprika. Cook , stirring occasionally until the peppers are heated through. Add the cream and bring to a boil. After it boils, reduce the heat to medium and simmer, stirring occasionally until mixture is slightly thicken about 3 to 4 minutes.Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until they are cooked through and firm, about 5 minutes. Add the cooked pasta and Parmesan Cheese to the pan. Salt to your taste and toss the mixture together until well coated. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve immediately.
