Creamy Chocolate Mousse

  • 3/4 cup cold milk
  • one small 4 serving package chocolate instant pudding
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 eight ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • garnish with candy bar pieces


  • Place the milk and instant pudding mix in a medium bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until ingredients are smooth and without lumps. Mixture will be very thick.
    Place the vanilla, sour cream and cream cheese in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and creamy and the cream cheese is lump free. Add the pudding mixture to the bowl, beat until well incorporated.  Fold in the thawed whipped topping until all the ingredients are well combined and there are no streaks. It should all have a consistant chocolate color and be well combined.
    Spoon the mousse into dessert dishes, chill until ready to serve.
