1cupchopped fresh pineapple or juice packed pineapple tidbits, drained
1pintvanilla ice cream
1loaffrozen pound cake (like Sara Lee)
whipped cream
maraschino cherries
Instructions
Melt the butter in a small heavy duty saucepan over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, honey and cinnamon to the pan. Stir the ingredients together. Bring the mixture to a boil, after it boils reduce the heat. Simmer the ingredients, uncovered for 2 minutes. Add the pineapple tidbits to the pan. Cook and stir the ingredients for 2 minutes or until heated through. Remove the pan from the heat. Scoop ice cream into dessert dishes. Top with crumbled cake, warm pineapple mixture, whipped cream and a cherry. Serve immediately.
