I tried this today to share at the food pantry I serve at. I personally did not think it was all that good. Others there said they liked it but I came home with at least 2/3 of it.

Do you use clear vanilla? Also, could one substitute walnuts or pecans for the almonds? This looks delicious, by the way. Keep up the good work!

In reply to Jackie. Hi Jackie, the nuts aren't in the cake batter , just in the frosting. You don't need to add the nuts to the frosting if you don't want to.
