Tried this today. I ate mine on wheat bread sandwich. I also ate a piece by itself. It is good both ways. My husband says it needs bacon. Of course, if he hasn’t had meat potatoes and bread, he hasn’t eaten.

In reply to Vitina. Vitina this was completely devoured in one sitting, there was nothing left to reheat honey. But I don't see why it wouldn't reheat well. The bread might get a little crispier reheated but I don't see that as a bad thing.

Love this simple yet delicious “savory pizza flavored” bread casserole!! This sounds like a wonderful idea to use leftover bread cubes! I am sure my family (pizza lovers) would devour this in no time!

Oh YUM!! I’ve heard of an Italian dish called a “panzanella” which uses bread croutons, but is a winter dish. This is like a summery version! I have GOT to try this… it looks so easy, but so fancy. 🙂
