I have been making pecan tassies since I was 10 years old, and I am now 82, and still love them. I will try your version for Thanksgiving. Sounds delicious.

Bunny,
I make my cream cheese dough and roll it into a log about 2 inches in diameter, chill it, cut into 24 pieces. Then I roll into little balls, like large marbles, put between two pieces of plastic wrap and smoosh with a flat bottom bowl. Peel them off and put onto the mini muffin tins, push the center down with a dowel or similar. Once I get crankin' I can bust out about four dozen in ten minutes or less.

My cookies lack the pumpkin and are called "Aunt Mary Appler Rockets" im memory of the woman who showed me the recipe. The real name is Russian Tea Cookies...or so I'm told.
