The sight of the Crock Pot Tuscan Chicken sitting perfectly on a dinner plate makes your eyes take in all the lovely colors and creaminess that your taste buds are going to enjoy. Each color on your plate highlights the other colors so well that once you cave into the wonderful creaminess, you will not be able to stop yourself from enjoying seconds of this meal!
Then there is the fresh spinach that is stirred in at the very end of making the dish. It is cooked until it is just wilted enough to retain its glorious bright green color that is beautiful. Between the sight of the deep red dried tomatoes and the creamy homemade alfredo sauce…it is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate.
And then you taste it. You taste the tender chicken, the homemade Alfredo sauce, and the freshly grated Parmesan cheese. It is all absolutely lovely, especially combined altogether.
You start the recipe by browning four chicken breast in a skillet with butter and then placing them in a crock pot. While that is cooking, you move onto the next step, which is making an Alfredo sauce. If you’ve never made a homemade Alfredo sauce before it is nothing for you to worry yourself about. That is because this Alfredo sauce has three ingredients: butter, grated Parmesan cheese, and heavy cream. Easy, right? (If you are looking for a super easy cheese grater, this one here is restaurant-certified.)
Melt the butter in a saucepan, then add the cream and simmer the two ingredients for about five minutes until it begins to thicken. Stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and voila, you have an Alfredo Sauce.
I normally serve the Crock Pot Tuscan Chicken over pasta, but you can serve it over rice as well. Maybe you’re thinking mashed potatoes? It doesn’t matter what you decide to side your slow cooker Tuscan chicken with, the dish is amazing enough on its own to just be made and enjoyed. Crock Pot Tuscan Chicken: easy to make using your slow cooker and it is delicious! It’s what’s for dinner…ENJOY!

Thank you for this recipe! I followed it to the tee (except I think I had 2 tsp of the Italian seasonings). This was INCREDIBLE. Everyone in my family scarfed it down and said I had to make it weekly from now on. 😉 New family favorite!
I know, I rated it without making it first, But in my defense, there is not a single ingredient in the recipe that I don’t like,
That being said, if I were in a hurry, could I use a Jarred Alfredo Sauce? Do you have a preferred brand of sauce???
Hi Janet I don’t see why you couldn’t used jarred, I haven’t done it so let me know how that works out for you. No I don’t buy it much so I really don’t have a preferred brand honey.
Amazing recipe! I added mushrooms and topped it off w fresh basil.
This recipe was amazing!!
Our new family favorite! Thank you!
I love when family favorites are crock pot recipes, win-win LOL! The Tuscan chicken is a fun one to do in the crockpot, so glad you enjoyed it!
This recipe sounds great! Any suggestion for a substitution of sun dried tomatoes? Unfortunately, that is a big NO NO around my house. 🙁
hoe about different colored peppers red, yellow, green and maybe a little more seasoning
Doris different colored peppers would be great! Are you thinking about replacing the spinach with peppers? I always taste as I go Doris so if you think it needs more seasonings to your taste add what you think it needs Honey.
Fantastic, tasty, easy meal! Just added a whole sautés onion with few cloves of garlic…yummy. Thank you again, Bunny
Your welcome sweetheart!!
I have made this a few times and love it! I like to sauté shallot and garlic when browning the chicken and add it to the crock pot. Such a great recipe and so easy!
We loved this, and doesn’t it look absolutely amazing on the plate?! Thank you for the tip of sautéing shallot and garlic and adding it to the crock pot.
I’m in the process of cooking this fish (2 hours in), and the Saunders is very gritty right now with the grated parmesian. It’s also pretty salty. Is there anything I can do at this point?
Jon, honey this isn’t fish, it’s a crock pot chicken recipe. Sorry your having issues sweetie, you’ll have to contact the site you got the recipe from.
If I wanted to add fresh spinach to this, when should it be added.
The recipe calls for 2 and 1/4 c. of Parmesan cheese. Two c. Go into the Alfredo sauce. Where does the 1/4 c. go?
The 1/4 cup goes into the crock pot with the spinach, I just fixed the recipe card to reflect that, sorry!
Delicious & a hit with my house guests! Can I substitute breast meat from rotisserie church chickens when I’m short of time? I assume that would take less time in the crock of pot?? Thanks
Well Laura anything is possible. I don’t know whether I would even put in in the crock pot if I made it with cooked chicken. Maybe in a large skillet?? I have to think about this one.
I have been making this for over a year, my husband and I love it. Twice I have made it with boneless/skinless thighs, yummy that way too!
