I followed the recipe, but also used an additional can of white beans; mashed and returned to soup. It turned out perfect! It was easy and a great way to use my leftover ham bone.

In reply to Mary Malone. For anyone else wondering the same thing, I used 1.5 lbs of dry beans at the bottom of the crockpot (Didn’t have to cook the mm first) with 8 cups of chicken broth... followed the rest of the recipe and it was delicious!!!!

Oh my goodness but this soup was terrific! Thank you for such an easy, delicious recipe. What a good way to use a leftover ham bone. I followed the recipe exactly as written, and it didn’t need anything else. Yum!!
